Casino Night Fundraiser
Raising funds for Henrico County Schools for teacher out of pocket supplies, technology, and higher education
Thursday, February 28th 6:00-10:00pm at Willow Oaks Country Club
(6228 Forest Hill Avenue Richmond, VA)
Tickets: $30
Includes: hors d’oeuvres, fake money for casino gambling, auction, raffle, and bar.
Economic and budget pressures have limited local schools’ ability to provide much needed educational supplies and material for the classroom. In many cases teachers pay out of pocket for many typical school supplies and expenses, and other times classrooms go without helpful supplies and material.
Western Henrico Rotary Club is raising funds Henrico County Schools to provide grants for qualified reimbursements of out of pocket items such as supplies, technology items, field trip related expenses, and even books and textbooks. Funds raised will also be available for a designated scholarship fund, allowing teachers to apply for $1000 scholarships applied toward a master’s degree education.
The schools will approve and oversee funds associated with this grant as they have for similar grants provided by local non profits. Please join us in supporting our local schools, teachers, and children’s futures.
